About Toddler Transition Class

Our transition class for toddlers is the next level of swimming lessons for our Water Baby graduates. This class is also suitable for children new to Pat Taylor Swim School with no previous lessons.

The aim of our Toddler Transition Class is to teach your child to become more independent, along with increasing their confidence whilst still having a parent in the water. Our highly trained instructors will continue to lay a foundation of crucial swimming skills. Your toddler’s swimming lessons will introduce them to swimming with kick boards and noodles, as well as continuing with blowing bubbles, paddles, back floats and underwater submersion.

We introduce the next level of water safety, including listening to the instructor and waiting their turn. Pat Taylor Swim School also teaches your toddler to jump in, turn around and climb out of the pool, along with monkey-walking along the side of the pool.

Age appropriate activities with songs and games enhance the learning environment.

All lessons are in small groups, with a parent or carer in the water with their toddler as they transition to independent swimming.

 

Hydrotherapy Pools

Your toddler’s comfort and health are assured, with our hydrotherapy pools at Dee Why and Mona Vale heated to around 32°C. Warm showers are also available for use after the lesson.

Pat Taylor Swim School offers our Toddler Transision Class at our Dee Why pool.

 

Tuition 

Toddler Transision Class costs $250 per term (10 x 30 minute lessons)
Private lessons: $800 per term

 

First Lap Voucher

From 1st December, 2021 the NSW Government has implemented a $100 First Lap Learn To Swim Voucher for children aged between 3 – 6. Pat Taylor Swim School is a registered provider of this program. If you haven’t already applied for your voucher, click here.

 

 

Make-up Lessons

Make-up lessons are offered if a lesson is missed due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, depending on availability. Should you need to arrange a make-up lesson, please contact us on 02 9977 6125.
